Supposedly it's post-rock. Maybe it should be called "guitar music". It would be difficult to effectively categorize the work of musicians for whom Sonic Youth, Tortoise, Battles or Don Caballero are equally inspiring as french spectralism or improvised music. It might be easiest to describe their music with a question: how much music can be played by a guitar-percussion band?
